Operated by the Montreal Port Authority (MPA), the Port of Montreal is the second largest port in Canada and a diversified transshipment centre that handles all types of goods: containerized and non-containerized cargo, liquid bulk and dry bulk. The only container port in Quebec, it is a destination port served by the largest shipping lines in the world. The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ryan Dermody to the newly created position of Vice-President, Contrecœur. In his new role, Ryan Dermody will spearhead and implement the MPA's major undertaking to develop the new container terminal project on Port of Montreal land in Contrecœur, a major project that will make it possible to support the growth of the container market in Quebec and Eastern Canada. He began his new duties on July 30, 2018.
