Journal of Commerce Top 15 Container Lines by US Imports from Asia Containerized US imports from Asia, in laden TEUs, January-April 2023 vs. January-April 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 The Journal of Commerce Top 15 trans-Pacific container lines carried 99.1% of the 4.84 million TEUs in US imports from Asia in the first four months of 2023, a volume decrease of 27.1% year over year and 2.2% from January through April 2019. The top five carriers accounted for 67.4% (3.26 million TEUs) of the eastbound trans-Pacific trade lane through April, up from 63.6% (4.22 million TEUs) in the same 2022 period. The top five carriers accounted for 72.1% (1.27 million TEUs) of the westbound trans-Pacific trade lane through April, up from 73.9% (1.22 million TEUs) in the same 2022 period.
