Journal of Commerce Top 15 US Ports by Imports from Asia Containerized US imports from Asia, in laden TEUs, January-April 2023 vs. January-April 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 The Journal of Commerce Top 15 US ports by imports from Asia handled 98.3% of the 4.84 million TEUs in US imports from Asia in the first four months of 2023, a volume decrease of 27% year over year and 2.1% from January through April 2019. The top five US ports accounted for 73.9% (3.6 million TEUs) of the eastbound trans-Pacific trade lane through April, down from 75.3% (4.99 million TEUs) in the same 2019 period.
