The IPI growth rate compares the latest week's index with the IPI's average over the past year. Second week out of double-digit index. The JOC-ECRI industrial price index for the week ending April 3, 2015, sequentially slipped 0.3152 point to 100.8422. The JOC-ECRI IPI negative growth rate sequentially improved by 0.0956 percentage point to a negative 28.0624 percent. The rate is in dollars and based on a full 40-foot containerload, excluding terminal-handling charges in Hong Kong. Jumps $250 in week: The April 6, 2015, average spot market rate from Hong Kong to Los Angeles was $1,889 per FEU, $250 or 15.3 percent above the week before, which was the year-to-date low of $1,639 per FEU. The April 6 average spot rate was $54 or 2.9 percent above the same period last year, but $364 or 16.2 percent below the year-to-date high of $2,253 per FEU. The April 6, 2015, average spot rate was $518 or 21.5 percent below the 2014 end-of-year spot rate/2014 high of $2,407 per FEU, and $991 or 34.4 percent below the Drewry benchmark record high of $2,880 per FEU of Aug. 6, 2012. IMC-brokered highway shipment revenue in February 2015 averaged $1,552 per load, $70 or 4.3 percent below the January yield while $16 or 1 percent below the February 2014 yield. The average monthly IMC highway yield for calendar 2014 was $1,608 per load, $195 or 13.8 percent above the 2013 yield. The average monthly IMC highway yield for the first two months in 2015 was $1,587 per load, $34 or 2.2 percent above the same period in 2014. The average February 2015 IMC intermodal yield was $2,716 per load, $40 or 1.5 percent below the January yield and $90 or 3.2 percent below February 2014. The average IMC intermodal yield in calendar 2014 was $2,875 per load, $136 or 5 percent above the 2014 yield. The average IMC intermodal yield for the first two months in 2015 was $2,737 per load, $44 or 1.6 percent below the same period in 2014.
