GE has been reported to have shown interest in Adwen, but already has secured access to offshore wind technology through its recent take- over of Alstom's grid and power business. The Siemens-Gamesa deal will pro- duce a company with 69 gigawatts of installed capacity, revenue of 9,3 billion euros ($10.5 billion), and an order backlog of about 20 billion euros ($22.6 billion).
